Research Focus

My research addresses critical challenges in materials sciences

Hydrogen Barrier Coatings for Mitigating Hydrogen Embrittlement

We are developing advanced hydrogen barrier coatings to effectively mitigate hydrogen embrittlement in metallic components. These coatings limit hydrogen ingress, enhance material durability, and extend service life in demanding environments such as energy, aerospace, and industrial applications.

Environmental-Benign Self-Healing Superhydrophobic Coating

Our research focuses on environmentally benign, self-healing superhydrophobic coatings development—designed to combine sustainability with high performance. The coatings exhibit excellent water repellency, damage recovery, and resistance to environmental degradation.

Corrosion Inhibitors

Our research on corrosion inhibitors aims to control electrochemical reactions at metal–environment interfaces. By tailoring inhibitor chemistry and adsorption behavior, we improve corrosion resistance across a range of industrial conditions.

Surface Passivation

Our work in surface passivation utilizes anodization to create uniform, adherent oxide layers on metal surfaces. These passivated surfaces exhibit improved corrosion resistance, wear performance, and long-term reliability for structural and functional applications.

Theoretical Simulation (DFT & MD)

Our theoretical modeling integrates Density Functional Theory and Molecular Dynamics simulations to investigate atomic-scale interactions, diffusion mechanisms, and interfacial phenomena.
